Seminar day
I got some new bedsheets (muji were having a sale) and it’s motivated me to write my essays in bed, which is a really lovely thing to do in October. I feel very autumnal and very cosy and very productive.
Not to offer advice nobody asked for but fixing ur sleep schedule is life changing
Things that actually work if u try at them:
- Drinking water
- No longer making self deprecating jokes
- Making sure to take time out of the day to relax and take a breather
- Lighting candles
- Counting ur breaths in and out if ur having a panic attack
- Getting up and trying to do one thing even if u can’t do everything maybe brushing ur teeth but not having the energy to shower
08.21.20 // t-minus 3 days (including today) until my phd dissertation is due to my committee! it was originally supposed to be sent to them today, but i asked for a 2 day extension and because my committee is super duper awesome they all said sure. i really just can’t wait for this to be done so i can stop feeling panicked every waking (and sleeping) moment of my day.
04.10.20 / happy sunday my friends! consulting my notes today for a historical fiction wip i’m building. i also got a new succulent because why not lol. i hope there’s sunshine where you are. take care ♡
09. 14. 2020 // Start of Midterms
Today is the mark of the start of our midterms. Meaning, last week was our overwhelming prelims.
These are some of my reviewers during then, I couldn’t bother to distract myself with taking pictures of them and posting them so now at least I can breathe a little.
